About Us

What is it all about?

The Tesco wine community is a place for people to come together to discuss and share their thoughts, opinions and experiences about wine. Whether you're sharing wines you love, asking questions that baffle you or just wanting to see what others have to say.

Blog posts – Learn something new

Where the Tesco team and special guests share their latest news and views. With topics from travel, new discoveries through to just a sneak peek at what’s inside their fridge. There's always something new and interesting to discover.

You can comment on these posts and let us know what you think as well as share them onto your own network on Twitter or Facebook.

Discussions – Get advice, Give advice

You may be looking for advice, recommendations or you may just want to share your own experiences. This is the place to get chatty!

In order to make it easier to find the information you are looking for we have created three broad categories. Don’t let these restrict you though.

Wine made simple – from beginners to experts

There's no question too simple or too complicated! Ask the community or help others.

Food and Wine – Get food and wine pairing advice

Why take a guess at the perfect pairing when you can get dozens of recommendations from other wine lovers?

What I drank last night – Love it or loathe it

This is the place to let others know about your latest discoveries, good or bad!

As with all forums we have had to outline a few ground rules for the discussion boards which can be found here.

Levels of distinction

We wouldn't have a great community without YOU our great contributors. So to inspire you to get started we have created a few levels of distinction, so you can quickly start building up your wine community reputation. The idea is simple, the more involvement you have the more you'll be recognised. To register and move through the levels is simple-just create a profile and start sharing your experiences, opinions and knowledge. Use the table below to help you understand the system and make the most of your time spent on site.

Level Minimum Discussions Started or replies given
Bronze
Silver 10
Gold 25

When you join the community you will automatically become a Bronze member.

Each month we will pick a Gold member at random to review a case of wine for us. So the quicker you move up to Gold level, the sooner you will be in with a chance to win!
