Great to hear that you've developed an interest in wine - as it's such a fascinating subject there's some really great websites out there offering tips and advice.

Just checked out http://www.winefromatumbler.com, and would thoroughly recommend it to everyone. It provides both information and education in a easily understood and enjoyable format. Unlike a lot off websites, it buying suggestions are relevant to the ordinary consumer, both in the price range and availability.
I have also found Tom Canavans http://www.winepages.com, very useful for information and buying suggestions.
For pure entertainment and education about wine, go to You Tube and seek out, Gary Vanerchuk's old Wine Library TV videos.

If you enter any of the big wine producers or suppliers onto You Tube, you'll find lots of educational videos and promotional short films of vineyards, production methods etc.
Berry Brothers - http://www.bbr.com/ -has a tab on their website
named: Wine Knowledge. This is very useful and detailed background.

Give Jancis Robinson's website a look, she has a "Learn about Wine" section http://www.jancisrobinson.com/categories/learn_about_wine.html which guides you through a lot of the basics.
I agree with the previous suggestions of Jamie Goode's blog, Tom Cannavan's Wine Pages and Berry Bros website, and would also throw in Chris Kissack http://www.thewinedoctor.com/ .
Finally check out CellarTracker https://www.cellartracker.com/new/Default.asp for community wine reviews for wines you're thinking of drinking/buying a wine.

Some great suggestions have already been made. I for one use Jamie Goode's website a lot and also Chris Kissack's The Wine Doctor website has a tonne of information if you want to know a little bit more about wine producing regions, vineyards etc.

I should also say, as a shameless piece of self-promotion, that my website, The Riesling Revolutionary www.rieslingrevolutionary.com, aims to demystify the Riesling grape and give useful tips for picking up a decent bottle. A lot of people think Riesling is always German and sweet but that's not the whole story!
