White wine with Fish?

I always used religously to always drink white wines with fish. Recently I have tried red wine ..not too heavy with fish only because I had run out of white wine and it was a great . Am I a misfit in my new taste?

It can definitely work – especially lighter styles that haven't been oaked. Pinot noir and gamay can be great.

Rosé and sparkling rosé are also excellent matches.

I would have to say I agree also - a glass of Rioja or Merlot to accompany a fish dish (particularly scallops) can work wonders...

In my opinion Pinot Noir is a perfect match for salmon.

It depends so much on the sauce or flavours added to the fish.....
