Penfolds Koonunga Hill Cab shiraz 2000

I've a few bottles of various vintages of this and the latest Penfolds 'Rewards of Patience' suggests that the 2000 is underpowered and isn't worth keeping (unlike some other vintages). Hence why I tried it.
It is still purplish to the rim so maybe still some further maturity to come. Although I found it a bit lacking it had typical spice and cherry flavours and considered a veritable bargain at the £5 I paid for it some time ago. Must get some more of the latest vintage as well as the 'seventy six' version - even though it is now nearer £9.

Hi and thanks from the team for the post, we would love to hear your thoughts on the latest vintage if you get some, and any other wines you continue to try in the evening
