Chateauneuf du pape

I have always had a soft spot for wines from this region.

I know that tesco offer a 'finest' version at about £12 a bottle - could anyone recommend anything else?

2nd Question:

At a wedding reception I once tried a white wine that was wonderful. Huge grapefruit overtones - could anyone suggest what might be similar to this?

Thanks to all,
Steve

Hi Steve,

For your information the Finest Chateauneuf is on a 20% promotion at the moment, down to £10.91 a bottle. Another wine to try would be the Cellier des Prince CNP, 066569067, on a 40% prom, down to £12 a bottle. There is also a delicious White Chateauneuf to partner this from the same producer, 062385440, which is on prom at 20% off, down to £16 a bottle.
With regards a white wine with grapefuit overtones, I would suggest that this could be a new world sauvignon blanc or possibly a viognier.

Regards

Dirk
