This week we’ve got another great blog to share with you – The Cambridge Wine Blogger. Tom, “A linguist by education and a company director by profession”, fell in love with wine during several years living in Austria, and he began his wine blogger journey in 2009 as “a way of recording impressions of various wine events and later, increasingly, individual wines”.
As well as blogging and writing about wine for various publications, Tom is a committee member and occasional presenter for the Cambridge Food & Wine Society as well as a member of the Circle of Wine Writers. The knowledge and passion required for these positions definitely come across in his blog posts.
What’s great about The Cambridge Wine Blogger is that alongside tasting notes, event coverage and wine travels posts, Tom has some great discussion pieces with intellectual observations about wine. From exploring the effects of air on wines to the value of wine blogging, these pieces are interesting and thought-provoking.
Reflecting its name, Tom’s blog also acts as a sort of wine and food tour of Cambridge, and posts like his review of dinner at Fitzbillies give a great insight into the food and drink culture of Cambridge.
We’ve had some good wine chats with Tom on Twitter, so be sure to follow his account to get involved! You can also find him on Facebook and LinkedIn.
